Our Team

  • Arnavi R

Hi everyone! My Name is Arnavi and I am currently a second year student at Monash studying Law and Commerce.

Other than being a full time student, I love cooking and reading and in my free time I love volunteering at my local OP shop! This year I also decided to step out of my comfort zone and decided to take archery lessons and so far it's been a thrilling experience.

After completing my degree I hope to follow my passion and work as a lawyer in the field of corporate law. As a member of Legal Buzz this year, my primary goal is to enhance my understanding of the legal system and profession by networking with established lawyers and understanding how we as law students can have a positive impact on the planet. I hope to see you all there and join us in becoming more environmentally conscious!!

  • Carrie L

Hi! I’m Carrie, a second year Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of commerce student at Monash University.

My hobbies include reading, photography, running and playing badminton! I have also loved skiing since starting it last year. I've bought my own skis and am so excited to go skiing again this year. I also love camping and hiking, especially going to national parks. I love the feeling of accomplishment when I finally hike up to the top of a summit to see the amazing views.

When I finish my degree, I aspire to become an entrepreneur or work on projects that are impactful to our world, and bring value to society. I have had experience working in environmental projects such as fundraising and working with other environmental campaigns in high school as an environment ambassador.

Being a member of Legal Buzz, I hope to expand my network through events and projects that we will be working on. Join us in discussing how the legal community can protect our planet. As a Legal Buzz member, I want to create a space for environmentally conscious law students and professionals to connect and drive change. Hope to see you at our events soon!!

  • Chyann F

Hi, I’m Chyann, a second-year Law and Commerce student, majoring in Finance! I’m really excited to join this year Legal Buzz Working Bees’ team.

I love to draw, write stories (fantasy and romance!), write songs (even though I don’t play an instrument…) and really, anything creative! I just started learning to crochet and I hope one day to be good enough to never have to buy another plushie in my life! As for sports, I love skiing and snowboarding in the winter (been doing it since I was 4 years old!) and when it’s not winter, you’ll find me on the badminton court!

Through my Law/Commerce degree, I hope to work in the commerce sector and more specifically, as I have just discovered recently, in a field called financial forensics. It’s a path that blends commerce with a bit of law. It’s not set, and I’m open to furthering my studies in many other fields before I make a concrete decision.

As a member of Legal Buzz, I want to help educate the public (and especially fellow law students!) on the intricacies of how law meshes with sustainability. As a creative person, I hope to use my skills to make learning about these things a seamless and fun experience for everyone.

Take a look at our website and socials or attend one of our events for more information! We’d love to see you there.

  • Isabelle A

Hi! I’m Isabelle (or Izzy, if you prefer) and I am in my third year of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Arts, majoring in Politics.

In my spare time, I am planning social events for my College, Newman, which I am social head of this year, and super excited about! (Yes, that is a Melbourne University College, and yes, I go to Monash. I know, it’s confusing). I also love to run the odd half marathon and reading a good book.

When I finish my degree, I hope to never do the same thing day-to-day, and to always be challenged. So far at Monash, I have particularly loved property law, and I have come to the conclusion that I will never be a politician (big kudos to any aspiring politicians amongst us though!)

As a member of Legal Buzz, I hope that we can create a real and tangible way for environmentally conscious law students and professionals to connect and therefore instigate change! Education empowers us to believe that we have the power to make an impact – I hope that Legal Buzz can inspire you to realise the thousands of ways that you (and the wider legal industry) are so critical in the battle to protect our environment!

I hope to meet you at one of our events soon!

    Izzy

  • Manya S

Hi, I’m Manya, a second-year student currently studying Law and Commerce at Monash University.

Alongside being a full time student, I love to travel, draw, get involved in sports (normally badminton or netball) and spend time with my family. I also like to volunteer at events at Monash as well as outside of university.

By taking part in this LAP program and joining the Legal Buzz, I’m willing to expand and grow the legal network through organising exciting events. Understanding the professional life in this field will enhance our knowledge and further enhance how us as the Buzz team can incorporate our best part to have impactful changes on certain projects. By being part of this team, I want to take this opportunity to help provide relevant and much needed education to students and communities as a way to spread awareness and knowledge of potential laws and rights one may be entitled to but unaware of.

Through our events, you’ll be able to not only grow your network but also grow and enhance your legal understanding as well as the legal field and atmosphere. We hope to provide you with much desired opportunities for you to have a great time in exploring and learning the legal field.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!!

  • Alex A

Hey everyone! I’m Alex, a current Law student at Monash University.

I love playing tennis and cafe hopping across Melbourne and also in my spare time I enjoy watching sports. I’m interested in entering the intellectual property sector, and am passionate about protecting intellectual rights of individuals and corporations alike.

I joined Legal Buzz out of passion for environmental justice and interdisciplinary action to tackle climate issues. I hope to facilitate connecting aspiring law students to industry mentors and to support them smoothly settle into their legal careers.

I encourage every law student to engage with us to build their networks and beecome part of environmental advocacy.

  • Justin P

Hi! I’m Justin and I’m in my second year Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Commerce student at Monash University.

I love listening to all kinds of different music genres like alternative and indie rock. I’m also a big foodie and am always on the lookout for exciting culinary experiences. When I can in my spare time, I also enjoy playing video games with my friends.

One of the things that excites me most is the intersection of law and technology, particularly in the realm of intellectual property. With my degree, I hope to explore how my passion for gaming and technology can be integrated into the legal landscape, perhaps specialising in intellectual property law related to digital media and innovation.

This year, I’m happy to be part of the Legal Buzz team and I hope to contribute to meaningful initiatives that promote sustainability within the legal field, addressing issues like environmental responsibility and social impact.

If you’re passionate about law and sustainability or simply curious about legal careers, come join the Legal Buzz network!

  • Ayush R

Hey! I’m Ayush, a first year Bachelor of Law (Honours) student studying at Monash University.

When I’m not busy studying for law, I love sitting down for a couple of hours and drawing on my Ipad or getting out of the house and playing, watching or talking about tennis and basketball with my friends. I hope to use my degree as a means of learning about the world of law and its different forms and in particular how both the law and the management of business’s intersect. But more than just legal skills I hope to use my degree to gain the life skills necessary to shape the type of person I want to become.

As a member of the legal buzz team, I hope to use my skills in communication to foster strong relationships with like minded individuals to promote sustainability and help rally attention towards key social and environmental issues/

So too anyone with a bee’t of interest in the law and sustainability come grow our hive at the legal buzz network!
